Aloha from the Rainbow State!!!
I just got back and I'm finishing my first week of work...phew!I moved over 7,000 mile from Annapolis, MD across the entire United States AND the Pacific Ocean!
I've driven across country several times, but never the WHOLE country :-)It was an adventure!!!Along the way, I went to see some of my amazing friends in Phoenix and I saw the Meteor Crater. I'm not big for making stops when I travel, but heck...I wanted to see them!
I'M HOME!!! FINALLY...Actually, it's BETTER than home. I have the BEST FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD and I'm so thankful I've met such amazing people. They're the kind of people that are there when you need them - they've always accepted me and taken me in and treated me as one of them. I'm SO LUCKY!!!
I've noticed several little things that are different now (or I'm different at how I look at them).
For one, Everything got SO EXPENSIVE!!!I though Annapolis was expensive - and with my new job I'd be able to live WITHOUT working TWO jobs....that's what I get for thinking.
I'm still looking for a place to live that I can afford AND that has a private bathroom. I don't remember it being this difficult.
I've checked everywhere (that I know of)...online, the newspaper, military sources and friends ... no luck...yet
